Ricotta Gnocchi


自製Ricotta Gnocchi, 加上煮了45分鐘的白酒蔬菜雞胸肉,bon appetito! 傳統的gnocchi 是用potato+flour搓成的, 也有用ricotta代替potato來做。很容易做啊, 而且很適合與小朋友一起做, 隨便配免治牛肉醬就已經非常美味了, 但注意不要讓小孩來放gnocchi進熱水鍋中, 因為它們有重量,會濺起小spot 狀的熱水,很易燙到(至少我有被燙過), 最好是由媽媽把它們放在碟中,然後"跣"落熱水中。網上的食譜都說做gnocchi 是愈少flour愈好, 要fluffy,可是我在義國米蘭食過的都不是這樣,它們是有"重量"感的。畢竟這是一種由媽媽或祖母弄的一般主食, 基本目的只是要用又便宜又方便的材料,把家人通通都餵飽飽吧了!

Couscous, I love you.


According to many "soggy couscous exprience" from my friends, and a horrible dinner i had at my friend's home with that "porridge-like-couscous-must-be-eaten" , i've never given my hand on it since then.
But, anyway, I'm hungry tonight and there is a package of couscous in my drawer for ages, and i have browsed cooking informations from internet about it, so, why not give it a chance?
Since that porridge-like-couscous-nightmare, I thought this dish might be very difficult to do. i was totally wrong! On the contrary, it is super easy to make! it is just like i give out 10% and get 100% in return. My couscous comes out "al dente" and tastes just fine salty. i'm so happy with myself tonight. Thanks to couscous.

Tips: Couscous : Boiling chicken broth/boiling water = 1:1

(1)Fried fine chopped onion, celery etc., Then add 1 cup of chicken broth. (2)Pour the broth onto the couscous(1 cup). Cover up the couscous's container with a lid or wrap.
(3)Wait exactly 5 mintes.
(4)Open up, mix in butter/extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper. Stir the couscous to let the stream and moisture out.
(5)Wait a few minutes more, let the favour mix into the couscous.
(6)Mix couscous into salad/meatball sauce/ roasted chicken pieces etc.

P.S. i ate my couscous while i was watching a DVD "Burn After Reading", i laughed out "ha~ha~ha~..HA, HA!" loudly. what a hilarious movie!
